My Start

I began my cello studies in group music classes in the Levittown, NY, public school system. In high school, I taught cello and played freelance gigs while attending The Juilliard School, Pre-College Division. I earned a BFA from Purchase College and an MA from Columbia University. After my classical music studies, I played cello with songwriters and bands. My career took off, and the intense travel and demands of touring took a huge physical toll on me.

To rebuild my health, I studied somatic movement, trauma healing, and fitness modalities. The benefits of this work not only healed my body, it elevated my entire well-being, transforming my cello playing technically and musically.

Now, I work with organizations to develop and deliver well-being programs as well as perform internationally. My passion is to guide people to achieve their goals in work and life with greater energy, ease, and enjoyment.

REFLECTIONS
A multi-media performance featuring STEPHANIE WINTERS with CHRIS ROSSER and a short film by MERRI CYR

Reflections
is a scalable multimedia experience where live music, spoken word, and film create a liminal space where dream and reality coexist, and the conscious and unconscious mind meet. Cellist Stephanie Winters will guide you to explore the question of how our pausing and reflecting can become the source of our healing and resiliency. Multi-instrumentalist and composer Chris Rosser will create a live soundscape with oud, piano, and electronics. Film by Merri Cyr. Music by Rosser, Winters, and J.S. Bach.

This project is made possible in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, Westport Cultural Council and the Helen Ellis Charitable Trust.
